Privacy, Cookies & Terms of Service

The data controller is Lavatio, a premium laundry pickup and delivery service operating in Rome, in partnership with White Express and WashingTown.

We collect the following personal data only when voluntarily provided through the forms on this site:

  • Full name
  • Phone number (WhatsApp)
  • Pickup and delivery address
  • Hotel or property name (where applicable)
  • Service preferences (garment types, handoff method)
  • Any additional notes you choose to provide

We do not automatically collect browsing data, do not use profiling cookies, and do not install third-party trackers without your consent.

  • Service delivery — managing your booking, pickup, and delivery (legal basis: contract performance, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Operational communications — confirmations and status updates via email or WhatsApp (legal basis: contract performance)
  • Legal obligations — retention of accounting and tax records as required by law (legal basis: legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
  • Legitimate interest — service improvement and fraud prevention (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)

Booking data is retained for a maximum of 24 months from the date of the last service, unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g. tax records: 10 years). Contact form data is retained for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.

Your data is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be shared only with:

  • White Express and WashingTown — operational partners for laundry services
  • Technical service providers — hosting, transactional email (subject to GDPR-compliant data processing agreements)
  • Competent authorities — where required by law

Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain confirmation of processing and a copy of your data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data
  • Restriction — request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdrawal of consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

By using lavatio.pro or booking a Lavatio service, you accept these Terms of Service in full. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.

Lavatio is a premium laundry pickup and delivery service operating in Rome in partnership with White Express (Tiburtina area) and WashingTown (Talenti area). The service includes:

  • Garment pickup from the address provided by the customer
  • Washing, ironing, and/or dry cleaning according to garment care labels
  • Delivery of clean, packaged garments to the destination address
  • Additional services: shoe cleaning, specialist treatments on request

Bookings are made via the online form or WhatsApp. Confirmation is sent by email or WhatsApp within a few hours of the request. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of written confirmation from Lavatio.

We treat every garment with the utmost care, following the care instructions on the label. However:

  • We are not liable for damage resulting from missing, incorrect, or illegible care labels
  • We are not liable for particularly delicate garments not flagged at the time of booking
  • We are not liable for items left in garment pockets
  • Our maximum liability for damage to a single garment is limited to the cost of the service for that garment

For high-value garments (furs, wedding dresses, haute couture), please inform us explicitly at the time of booking so we can arrange dedicated handling.

Prices are communicated at the time of booking confirmation, based on the type and quantity of garments. Payment is due upon delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are in Euros and include VAT where applicable.

You may cancel or modify a booking by contacting us via WhatsApp or email at least 2 hours before the agreed pickup time. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur an administrative fee.

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from use of the service shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. Failing resolution, the courts of Rome shall have jurisdiction.
